Afternoon of Building Legos – 03/2017

Thanks to the leadership of Luke Borrero, his mother, Martha and the KHK team of volunteers, we were able to host three groups of twenty third grade students.  Each group enjoyed thirty minutes of lego building with the company of our KHK volunteers.  There was music, laughter and camaraderie among the group.  At the conclusion of our time with them, the guests filled out a survey and many of them expressed  their satisfaction and gratitude for the time spent with KHK.  The children waited with bated breath to see if they held the lucky raffle ticket!  Three children were elated to win their very own lego character.
Thank you to all those who donated legos and to our partner Stamford Toys for the raffle prizes of new legos boxes as well as being our collection point for all the gently used legos.
