Birthday Bash

“That best portion of a good man’s life; his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness.  ~William Wordsworth

It’s Birthday Bash Time!

Come on down to St. Luke’s Lifeworks and be a part of a very special celebration for resident kids whose birthdays fall in the last three months.  We will have loads of games to play, sweet treats to eat, songs to sing and general fun that you can make happen yourself with a child.  It is going to be a great event and we hope you can be part of this special evening — you will make a real difference in the lives of these kids.  The hardest part of the time we spend with the kids is when we have to say goodbye …

Date: Thursday, Feb. 7 th at 4:45pm for set up. Party is from  5:30 – 7:00pm (Even if you can’t set-up, please join us for the party) Note: We can only accept kids that do NOT attend the Stamford Public School system due to confidentiality reasons.

Location: Inspirica,  141 Franklin Street, Stamford, CT (formally St. Luke’s Lifeworks)

To make this a success, we need you!  There are so many ways to be involved: playing  games; reading to the younger kids, setting up the food table; picture taking, making sure every child has a volunteer friend to have some fun.  We don’t always know who will be joining us, so there is a bit of spontaneity involved which makes it fun too.  We encourage your ideas for games as well, but don’t worry, we’ll have game supplies there too. It is going to be so much fun and you will find that your presence really makes the kids smile!

Have a great idea for a fun game or two? Do you like to bake? We also need some cupcakes for the party. Please RSVP to help with this wonderful event.   We hope you can bring your smiling faces, your willingness to roll up your sleeves and the desire to make a child feel very special.  See you there!!

Why do we do this?  Can you think of one of the most important celebrations a child might want to experience? Yup, their birthday.  Yet, there are children who live among us, whose families don’t have the resources or family structure to be able to give that special gift to their little ones.  Would you like to do something about that?
