This project is open for elementary aged students* plus 3 KHK Lead Ambassadors.
Calling all elementary age volunteers who love to bake! Please join us at the New Covenant Center kitchen on Saturday, February 3rd to assemble Valentine goody bags (with sweet and healthy treats 😉 for the children who visit the soup kitchen. Our volunteers will also hear from a staff member at New Covenant Center to learn more about how it serves the community. *A parent/guardian must be present with each elementary aged child. Because space is limited at the facility, all parents will be expected to help by supervising the activity or helping to sort the groceries in the food pantry. When registering for this event, please submit a single entry for a child and parent together. A short KHK orientation will precede the event for parents/kids who are new to KHK at 10:15am. Volunteers who have previously attended an orientation arrive at 10:45am.
** We ask all of our participants to bring at least a dozen homemade cookies please. **
We found this delicious recipe as an option. Please consider making these and bringing them to the event.
