How did you get involved with KHK?

I started going to KHK meetings and events with my older brother and sister. I wanted to see what they were up to, and I am really glad I did because I really enjoy everything about KHK.

What is your passion?

My passion is meeting new people and helping people.

What is your favorite KHK Project or memory?

I have two favorite KHK projects. I like our annual pumpkin bread bake because I like working together with the rest of the team to bake the bread. I also really enjoy the Gift of Giving because I like the concept that children who usually wouldn’t be able to, are able to shop (for free) for a gift for their loved ones.

How have you been able to develop or practice your leadership skills through KHK?

Since joining KHK, I have seen growth in the areas of public speaking, communicating with others and sharing my ideas. For example, I used to not like speaking in front of a crowd but in my time with KHK, I am less afraid to do it. I often share about my volunteer experience with KHK at the monthly orientation meetings.

Why would you encourage others to get involved with KHK?

Not only is being part of KHK fun, but it’s also a great way to help others! All of the projects fulfill a special purpose and provide new opportunities that underserved children don’t usually have.
