Join us on Saturday, December 16th to fill David’s Treasure Tree at Stamford Hospital!
My name is Christina and I created the project Treasure Tree because I can only imagine how hard it must be to be a child in the hospital and I wanted to find a way to make it a better experience for them. Kids love toys and it makes them happy to have something else to focus on other than being in the hospital. We can’t control their sickness, but we can give them happiness by bringing them toys. There are so many children in the hospital that it is hard for the hospital to provide them all with toys on their own. That is why I came up with the idea to have people donate toys to Kids Helping Kids and then we could give the toys to Stamford Hospital’s David’s Treasure Tree, a toy closet on the pediatric floor of Stamford Hospital. In December 2014, Stamford Toys was gracious enough to let us set up a table outside of their store to collect donated toys and even give their customers 20% off their entire purchase if they donate a toy to us. I really think we could make a difference in these children’s stay at Stamford Hospital. My hope is to continue this collection at different times through out the year!
Shift is from 10-1pm on December 16th, 2017 at Stamford Toy Store
