This annual Handled with Care Dress Boutique project started in 2012 when Ally,16, went out shopping for a prom dress realized how hard it must be for girls that could not afford a new dress. She really wanted to create a beautiful and dignified shopping experience and the seed of this idea grew into the Annual Dress Boutique. We now collect hundreds of gently worn and new dresses of all sizes for girls that can benefit from this one day shopping boutique. KHK partners with many schools and stores to collect all of the dresses, jewelry, shoes and accessories to make this spring event a memorable experience. We also have hair consultations, make up and we top if off with a photo shoot for all of the guests!

2017 – The annual “Handled with Care Dress Boutique” took place on April 21st at the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford, Yerwood Unit.
We found homes for over 500 beautiful dresses in addition to providing make-up, shoes, and jewelry for over 500 guests. They received manicures, hair consultations, and had their make up done and it was topped off with a stunning photo shoot. In return, our guests made over 600 caring cards that will get delivered to kids in the hospital. The guests gave us glowing reviews and 100% of them said they will attend another KHK event and a number asked how they can become a volunteer! Partnership makes this happen. We want to thank those who collaborated with us!
