Leadership Workshop Series

ATTEND A KHK LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP

KHK is proud to present a series of Leadership Workshops for 2021. This series of workshops was created for two reasons: 1.) to support our youth volunteers in the development of their leadership skills and 2.) to address a concern identified by several Fortune 500 companies. In a recent study by Bloomberg Next and Workday, "more than 40 percent of corporations and almost 50 percent of academic institutions said new hires lack the soft skills to perform at a high level in a professional environment. The top four soft skills that companies and academics say are needed include teamwork, analytical reasoning, complex problem-solving, and adaptability. Just 35 percent of corporations feel new recruits and students are well prepared with both hard and soft skills.”

In response to this article and many others like it, we are offering a workshop every month of 2021. These Ted talk style seminars will focus on a different leadership skill each month and will be led by our junior board members, community partners and local professionals who are committed to the success of our youth. In order to abide by social distancing guidelines, these seminars will be held online until we can meet in person. Registration is free and open to any student in Fairfield County.
