MLK Service Project

Yesterday was a day ON, not a day off for our volunteers who joined together to serve on this National Day of Service in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Our Youth Advisory Council led a project and skill-building session with Filling In The Blanks in Norwalk. Together, forty-five KHK volunteers packed over one thousand packages of nutritious food for kids in our area who struggle with food insecurity. They learned about the issue of childhood hunger and how we can all work together to solve problems like this. We love empowering kids to carry on MLK’s message of spreading compassion, love and justice to all. A real example of kids helping kids!
