Project History

The Skate for Success project started in 2014 with the synchronized skating team at Twin Rinks in Stamford when Terri Ann Lowenthal generously donated rink time and free skate rentals to her synchronized team.  The team wanted to share their love of skating with kids who had never had this experience.  The girls shared their own routine and paired up one-on-one and by the end of an hour, all of the kids were skating!
