On Tuesday, April 17th, several KHK volunteers and their parents participated in Taco Tuesday at Inspirica, the transitional living shelter in Stamford. Following a brief orientation for new members, we reviewed the leadership skills we focus on and pledged to work on at least two skills during the project. Then we went upstairs to the Early Childhood Program where we warmed the prepared beef and chicken and set up the taco station with assorted toppings. After dinner, we enjoyed some arts and crafts and play time with the guests. At the end of the night, when we gathered to debrief, all of the KHK volunteers were in agreement: Taco Night was a huge success and we can’t wait to go back!
