Lead ambassador, Brooke, is sharing her love of writing with the middle school students at the Boys & Girls Club, Stillwater Unit. She is going to walk them through each stage of the writing process (brainstorm, write, revise, edit, publish) and conclude with a publishing party so the proud authors can share their work!
Hi! My name is Tyler and I love studying technology and how their use can enhance our quality of life. Because I love computers so much, I have designed a workshop on coding to benefit the children at the Carver Center, Norwalk. I will also be sharing ways technology can be used to make an impact in the community.
On Monday, January 21st, we will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr with a food packing event at Filling in the Blanks in Norwalk. KHK Volunteers in Grades 6 – 12 are welcome to join us.
Do you love the idea of making a difference in the community? Do you enjoy working with children? If so, come to our orientation meeting on Thursday, January 24th. It is a great introduction to Kids Helping Kids and will give you all the information you need to begin volunteering with us. Parents, please plan to stay for the duration of the meeting.
Our elementary program has organized a fun project at the New Covenant Center, a food kitchen in Stamford. We will be assembling goody bags of delicious cookies and a Valentine surprise for the children who come to the food kitchen. If you love to bake, we’d love to have you join us.
We are getting ready for our biggest crowdfunding competition ~ Giving Day! In preparation for the big day, we will have a Phon-a-thon at the KHK office on Sunday, February 24th. Let’s get everyone on board to support us on Giving Day! Your time and enthusiasm will make a big difference.
Hi. My name is Emma and I love everything about the performing arts. Since joining KHK, I have a led this project to share my love of acting with the middle school students at the Boys & Girls Club. I am honored to have the opportunity to continue this project with the Boys & Girls Club throughout the year.
Lead ambassador, Emma, will be sharing her love of dance with the children at the Stamford Family YMCA. Every Friday after school, she will meet with the kids to teach them new choreography to today’s pop music!
Lead ambassador, Grace, is an advocate for pediatric cancer patients and enjoys bringing a smile to their faces! Consider making a greeting card that she will hand deliver to a child in the hospital.
