KHK has run the kids zone at the annual US Day event three years in a row in collaboration with MarcUs for Change and SPEF – led by ambassadors, Cate Brown and Dylan Johnson at Mill River Park in Stamford. KHK volunteers help at the following stations to make this day a success for the kids who visit us after the run:
- Wristband and Caring Cards Station – kids will learn about KHK and make a bracelet to learn about the power of giving and working together. Also, kids will make caring cards for children at a local hospital to lift their spirits and get well soon.
- Pumpkin Painting Station – kids will paint pumpkins & enjoy their artistic expression;
- Face Painting Station – show your artistry with colorful faceprinting for kids participating in the scavenger hunt.
- Peace Putty Station – make some fun putty to take home.
This annual event takes place in Mill River Park, 1010 Washington Blvd., Stamford Connecticut on October 1, 2017 from 9:30-12:30.
