All new volunteers must attend a Volunteer Orientation before participating in their first service project. During the orientation, you’ll learn about Kids Helping Kids, our mission, volunteer expectations, and the many ways you can get involved. This is your first step to becoming an official KHK volunteer.
Spark-a-Project is a youth leadership program for high school students who are passionate about making a difference. Participants design and lead their own service initiatives by sharing their knowledge, talents, and passions with younger children at the Boys & Girls Club. High school students have led classes and activities such as tennis, guitar lessons, art history, financial literacy, STEM, dance, chess, and many other enrichment programs. Through Spark-a-Project, young people develop leadership, communication, project management, and teamwork skills while creating meaningful learning experiences that address real community needs.
Show Up & Serve opportunities are open to both youth and adult volunteers looking for a meaningful way to give back without making a long-term commitment. These volunteer opportunities typically require 1–3 hours and are perfect for individuals, families, school groups, or businesses looking to serve their community. Kids Helping Kids partners with a variety of nonprofit organizations to support children and families who need it most, giving volunteers the opportunity to make an immediate impact while exploring different ways to serve.
