Pumpkin Bread Bake

Project Overview:

The annual Kids Helping Kids Pumpkin Bread Bake has been a staple signature project for over 15 years in which KHK volunteers prepare, sell, and distribute thousands of loaves of pumpkin bread in the community to help fund our youth-led programming.

Project History

Before KHK was even formed, KHK Co-Founder Lexi Kelley would bake loaves of pumpkin bread at home and sell them, with all proceeds going to help local children in need. In our first year, we made and sold 50 loaves and the bake sale has continued to grow ever since. Now, we partner with a professional bakery to make thousands of loaves to sell within the community!

How It Works

  1. We begin accepting orders and donations online
  2. ShopRite in Stamford goes into production to make the delicious Pumpkin Bread
  3. Volunteers join in shifts to package the bread and label the containers
  4. Volunteers set up booths around the community to sell Pumpkin Breads outside of grocery stores, schools, churches, libraries, farmers markets, and more.
  5. All online orders will be available for pickup at ShopRite in Stamford
